My practice is a pondering on impermanence, geologic time, and speciesism. The technical concepts at play in my work are based on a spirit of inquiry about materials that undergo transformative processes.
The way in which our daily allotments of time often feel like a great scarcity, while universal time exists as an endless swath with no discernible beginning or end, is a juxtaposition that I aim to process through my work.
Some mediums utilized include: ceramics, film photography, drawing, metalwork, paper mache, and quiet performance. My present aim is less about working to eke out a familiar theme amongst the body of work, but rather an attempt to create a metaphorical container big enough to fit all of my tangents.
